Senior Drainage and Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Drainage and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Carrington West. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering a wide range of projects, from new build to refurbishment, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and check Drainage Strategies, Flood Risk Assessments, Highway Schemes, and Levels designs.
  • Produce or check design calculations, scheme details, and drawings.
  • Compile or assist in the production of technical specifications and general project information.
  • Manage and supervise schemes of varying size, developing and agreeing design fundamentals with other team members.
  • Develop fee proposals and assist less experienced staff with technical problems.
  • Undertake site investigations and inspections, represent the company at meetings, and liaise with external project team members.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in Civil Engineering, preferably with a degree and at least 5 years of experience in Drainage and Infrastructure design.
  • Experience with S38, S278, S104, S106, and S185 agreements, flood risk assessments, and drainage strategies.
  • Experience with SuDS features.
  • Experience with Highway and Private Development Infrastructure schemes, road alignments, crossfalls, visibility splays, and designing to Highways for Adoption.
