WeDo Business Services is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning and execution of preventative and reactive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Manage customer expectations through effective work planning and communication.
- Oversee the daily task management of general maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with our maintenance management system.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive plan of preventative maintenance for all key assets, and perform scheduled maintenance activities as required.
- Ensure adherence to our planned maintenance schedule, and work to optimize operational availability of machines and equipment.
- Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Identify and implement improvements to plant, equipment, and facilities to support site improvement planning and cost reduction targets.
- Collaborate with our Health and Safety department to ensure all equipment meets HSE guidelines and does not pose a risk to our workforce.
- Attend regular EHS meetings to stay informed and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Work with sub-contractors to support the maintenance function, and maintain control of all tools, equipment, and spares.
- Ensure compliance with our 6'S Housekeeping standards, and maintain security systems as required.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of machine maintenance, preferably in an engineering environment.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced engineering or manufacturing organization.
- Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship (or equivalent) background.
- Ability to influence and work efficiently with customers and colleagues at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a results-driven approach.
