Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - HS2 Structures Project

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on the HS2 Structures Project. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the project, managing costs, and maximising profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor project costs, providing accurate and timely reporting on commercial performance.
  • Preparation and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Identification, evaluation, and management of risks and opportunities within the project.
  • Engage in contract administration and ensure compliance with the contract terms.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Support the senior QS team with cost forecasting and change control management.
  • Assist in procurement of subcontractors and manage variations and claims.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts or other relevant forms of contract.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive and collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (RICS, CIOB, or similar) would be advantageous.
