Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team at Manpower UK - RISE. As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will be responsible for transporting used cooking oil from one location to another in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order and complies with safety regulations.
- Deliver fresh oil to the catering and restaurant trade, as well as collect used cooking oil.
- Load and unload cargo safely and ensure it is secured according to safety regulations.
- Drive the commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery times and any issues that arise during transport.
- Build and maintain good relationships with customers and prospective customers, assisting with sales efforts when required.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and any issues that occur during transport.
- Perform regular maintenance on the vehicle to ensure it remains in proper working order and report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements:
- A valid driving license and a clean driving record.
- A valid CPC and Tachograph Card.
- Experience of driving a 7.5T vehicle in the UK with exceptional knowledge of UK roadways, laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with the Transport Office, customers, and other drivers on the road.
- A professional demeanor, appearance, and conduct with a strong focus on customer service.
- Awareness of safety regulations relating to driving a vehicle and health and safety in the workplace.
- The ability to problem-solve and provide examples of when they have handled unexpected situations.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility in your schedule, as the job may require working long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong customer service orientation.
