About the Role:


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Section Foreman to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our construction projects are executed safely, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Participate in creating a safe working environment and lead by example.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of site-based construction works and ensure effective coordination of resources.
  • Responsible for temporary and permanent works, ensuring they are delivered in accordance with the design.
  • Carefully manage materials and plant to meet programme and financial targets.
  • Assist in planning and programming with site engineering teams and participate in site discipline meetings.
  • Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and Permit to Work systems are in place before work commences.
  • Assist in the preparation of RAMS, COSHH assessments, and safety plans as required.
  • Effective liaison and communication with site teams and subcontractors.
  • Undertake site inductions with subcontractors and deliver toolbox talks and minute briefings.
  • Ensure subcontractors deliver work to meet safety, quality, and programme requirements.
  • Supervise subcontractors to ensure quality and 'right first-time approach'.

  • Monitor and record site diaries and update as necessary.


About You:


  • Ability to work safely and effectively communicate with site teams and subcontractors.
  • Execute construction work in line with ITPs, quality standards, and safety documentation.
  • Confident in delivering safety briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Able to read and interpret design drawings.
  • Proven leadership capability and calm, level-headed approach.
  • Good customer liaison skills.
  • Relevant experience in Highways, Rail, Water, or Aviation, and discipline experience in Earthworks, structures, drainage, etc.
  • SMSTS and relevant CSCS card.
