Elevator Tester Role Overview

At Otis, we are seeking an experienced Elevator Tester to join our team in ensuring that all new lift installations within our construction portfolio are fully tested and compliant with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of elevator installations to ensure they meet operational requirements.
• Provide technical support to other Field Test Engineers and train new colleagues in adjusting and commissioning elevator units.
• Collaborate with our global team to drive innovation and excellence in elevator testing and maintenance.
• Participate in continuous review and improvement of processes and procedures to meet operational requirements.

Requirements:

• National Vocational Qualification in Elevator or Escalator NVQ4 or equivalent relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in elevator and escalator testing.
• Demonstrable knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
• Demonstrable experience of elevator codes and standards applicable to the elevator and escalator industry.
