We are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Humanities Division at the University of Oxford as the Director of Commercial for the new multi-million pound Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities.

Currently under construction, the new building will be a publicly accessible academic building delivering the highest quality teaching and research, alongside and integrated with a range of world-class performance venues including a concert hall, theatre, exhibition space, and cafe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the commercial strategy for the new Centre.
  • Manage the full range of commercial activities, including conferencing, hospitality, commercial hires, food and beverage, merchandising, and more.
  • Explore and develop new and emerging income streams.

Requirements:

  • A strong entrepreneurial spirit and proven track record in developing and implementing commercial strategies.
  • Ability to increase profitability and drive sustained growth in the Centre's commercial operations.
