We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Lifeworks, a leading organization empowering people with learning disabilities in Devon to achieve their dreams and build fulfilling lives.

In this role, you will work alongside our tutors to support students in achieving their full potential, by creating a positive learning environment and championing independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their learning and development, ensuring they are motivated, happy, and engaged.
  • Inspire and encourage students through their transition from school to college, enabling them to learn and practice independence.
  • Facilitate a positive, supportive learning environment, ensuring all students realize their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with people with learning difficulties and knowledge of the education sector.
  • Great IT skills and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
  • Committed to building and fostering positive relationships in the workplace.
  • Great communication and organization skills.
  • A team player, but equally able to work independently.
  • Practical, enthusiastic, and a positive attitude.
  • A passion for supporting young people and adults.

  • A Real Living Wage of £12.00 per hour.
  • A starting entitlement of 33 days paid holiday (prorata for part-time), paid on top of your hourly rate.
