We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our innovative Macmillan Therapy Team at Great Western Hospital Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality cancer prehabilitation and rehabilitation services to patients living with and beyond cancer.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide specialist physiotherapy care to patients diagnosed with cancer, including prehabilitation and rehabilitation services.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Deliver group-based exercise rehabilitation and health and wellbeing education to patients living with and beyond cancer.
- Support health and wellbeing workshops and events, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and self-management skills.
- Contribute to service development and implementation of policy to support the expansion of Macmillan Personalised care team.
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Varied experience across different areas of physiotherapy, including core rotations of musculoskeletal, neurology, and cardiorespiratory
- Evidence of further training or qualifications
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
This is a part-time post, and you will be required to work flexibly, including occasional evening and weekend work. You will be supported by a Band 7 Physiotherapist through a supervision and appraisal process.
