Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Facilities Management Specialist to join our team in Barnstaple. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation and maintenance of our manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with UK health and safety regulations and environmental standards.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, and increase sustainability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support lean manufacturing initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure facility maintenance is carried out to a high standard, including HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and building structure.
  • Plan and oversee repairs and upgrades to manufacturing equipment and infrastructure.
  • Oversee maintenance and efficient use of manufacturing equipment to minimize disruption to production.
  • Work closely with production teams to support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing facilities management role, with a proven track record of managing maintenance budgets and controlling operational costs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams and external contractors effectively.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, facilities management, or a related field.
Salary and Benefits
  • Competitive salary range £37,145 to £46,730 per annum.
