About the Role



We are seeking a highly skilled Scientific Consultant to join our team at Galderma, a leading dermatology company. As a Scientific Consultant, you will play a key role in providing scientific and clinical support to healthcare professionals, maintaining a high level of medical, scientific, and technical knowledge and expertise in aesthetics and dermatology.



The successful candidate will develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers, including physicians and extenders, to provide comprehensive medical, scientific, and education support to Galderma initiatives in assigned areas of interest. You will focus on providing healthcare practitioners, clinical investigators, professional organizations, and patient organizations with opportunities for scientific exchange and gathering insights to support prioritized services and products within Galderma's portfolio.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide scientific and technical support for key account managers and the field-based salesforce, serving as a credible partner to support their immediate needs through non-promotional trainings, education, presentations, and other engagement.
  • Develop and maintain trustful relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centres to ensure access to current medical and scientific information on areas of therapeutic interest.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in aesthetics and dermatology, developing and sharing an in-depth knowledge of Galderma's portfolio.
  • Create effective educational messaging and events to increase scientific awareness and advocacy of Galderma products and services, including GAIN injector training among healthcare providers.
  • Deliver credible scientific and medical presentations to physicians, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Identify and engage with local, regional, and national key opinion leaders and experts through approved field engagement plans.
  • Support Investigator Initiated Studies/Trials (IIS/IIT) and company-sponsored trials.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A medical, pharmacy, or higher degree qualification in a relevant life sciences field.
  • Experience in dermatology or aesthetics is advantageous.
  • A proven track record of several years' experience in related medical and/or research and development roles in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical devices industry.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at various levels, including to practicing clinical peers and seniors.
  • The ability to physically travel for field visits with key opinion leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Meeting planning and facilitation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with technical platforms.
  • The capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to develop good relationships and credibility with medical professionals.


As a Scientific Consultant at Galderma, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
