About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Part Time Administrator to manage Roots, a charity established by Prax Group. The successful candidate will be hands-on and understand the Foundation's active role in any venture it undertakes.

About the Charity

The Prax Foundation, Roots, was formally established as a UK charity in 2010 by Prax Group's founders. The charity's initial projects are based in Sri Lanka, and its primary donor is Prax Group. The charity operates on a zero-cost basis, with every donated dollar going directly to Roots.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ongoing oversight of existing projects, including hostels, collection boxes, food banks, and clothes collections
  • Fundraising, including auctions and events
  • Identifying new causes for the Foundation to support
  • Raising the profile of Roots within Prax Group and organizing 'Roots Day'
  • Work as part of the Foundation Steering Committee
  • Liaison with multiple stakeholders, including donors and auditors
  • Monthly meetings and presentation to the PFS board
  • School breakfast scheme
  • Quarterly workshops in the offices to raise the Roots profile
  • Regular engagement with Food banks
  • Donations to appeals
  • Responsible for banking and payments on Roots bank accounts
  • Responsible for the budget for Roots
Requirements
  • Outstanding organizational, administration, and social media skills
  • Excellent communicator able to engage diverse audiences
  • Prior experience of organizing events, public relations
  • Experience of planning and budgets
Working Arrangements

The role is based in our offices and offered on a part-time basis, Monday to Friday pm.
