About the Role:

You will be working on a variety of cloud-based projects in AWS and Azure, focusing on data services such as Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Warehouse, Databricks, Bicep & PowerBI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • BUILD RELIABLE, EFFICIENT DATA APPLICATION SYSTEMS, SERVICES AND PLATFORMS.
  • Design and develop Kimball/Star-Schema Data Warehousing solutions.
  • Develop data visualizations using tools like PowerBI or AWS Quicksight.
  • Maintain good understanding of coding best practices and design patterns, including code and data versioning, dependency management, code quality and optimization, error handling, logging, monitoring, validation and alerting.
  • Utilize CI/CD tooling to analyze, build, test and deploy code.
  • Make informed design choices for data storage and data processing, with a focus on cloud data services.
  • Experience with parallel computing to process large datasets and optimize computationally intensive tasks.
  • Programmatically deploy, schedule and monitor components in a workflow.
  • Write complex queries against relational and non-relational data stores.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Data Engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
