About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented doctor to work within our Integrated Children's Service, providing high-quality care to children and their families. As a Junior Clinical Fellow, you will be responsible for assisting in ward rounds, completing discharge summaries, and attending to emergencies.

You will work closely with our experienced team of healthcare professionals to deliver safe and effective care, adhering to the trust's values of 'the WWL Way'. Our commitment to patient-centered care ensures that you will have the support and resources needed to thrive in this role.

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting in ward rounds on Rainbow Ward and the Neonatal Unit, ensuring seamless delivery of care to our patients.
  • Accepting paediatric referrals from GPs and A&E, demonstrating your ability to prioritize and organize clinical workload effectively.
  • Completing discharge summaries in a timely manner, showcasing your attention to detail and commitment to record-keeping.
  • Attending to emergencies immediately, including those on Labour Ward, demonstrating your ability to remain calm under pressure.

Requirements

  • Full GMC Registration
  • M.B., Ch.B or equivalent qualification
  • Completed Foundation Y1 competencies or equivalent experience
