West Yorkshire Police is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Special Constabulary. As a Special Constable, you will have the same powers and responsibilities as regular police officers, playing a crucial role in keeping our communities safe.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Participate in patrols to deter crime and maintain public order.
  • Assist with arrests and investigations, upholding the law and ensuring justice.
  • Engage with the community, building trust and fostering positive relationships.
  • Contribute to crime prevention initiatives, safeguarding our neighborhoods.

Comprehensive Training and Support:

As a Special Constable, you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to equip you for your role. You are expected to volunteer a minimum of 16 hours per month, which can be easily integrated with your existing commitments.
