About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Network Manager to oversee our network infrastructure, ensuring its stability, security, and performance. This role is perfect for a hands-on professional who is excited about taking ownership of a diverse and evolving network environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, implement, and maintain the organisation's network infrastructure.
  2. Manage network performance, security, and capacity planning.
  3. Troubleshoot network issues and manage escalations, ensuring minimal downtime.
  4. Collaborate with other IT teams to support the deployment of network-dependent applications and services.
  5. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and other access controls.
  6. Monitor network usage and optimise for efficiency, speed, and reliability.
  7. Provide leadership and mentoring to junior network engineers and support staff.
  8. Maintain documentation of network infrastructure, processes, and configurations.
  9. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  10. Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Network Manager or a senior-level network engineering role.
  2. Strong understanding of network architecture, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networking.
  3. Experience with network security technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs).
  4. Hands-on experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
  5. Experience with network virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware).
  6. Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  7. Ability to manage network storage solutions (SAN/NAS).
Desirable Tech Stack:
  1. Network Hardware: Cisco, Juniper.
  2. Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Wireshark.
  3. Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Networking.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
