We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Consultant to join our team at Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide consultant-level medical input to patients in the community.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating outpatients in virtual and physically present clinics. You will also visit patients in their own homes or care facilities if clinically necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advice to members of the Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs) in West Wiltshire and North Wiltshire Dementia Service.
- Regular remote attendance at MDT meetings to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Assess and treat psychiatric problems in adults of working age, addressing crisis situations with confidence and expertise.
- Prepare Mental Health Act Tribunal reports and participate in hearings for Community Treatment Order patients.
- Promote mental health and wellbeing through a person-centred approach, aligned with our trust's values.

This position offers a competitive salary range of £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of gaining CCT.
- Approved clinician status or able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience of assessing and treating patients in a community setting.
