In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations, preparing and cooking fresh meals, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our Home Manager, Nutritional Therapist, and other colleagues to ensure that our residents' dietary needs are met.

In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and cook fresh meals for residents and others as required, in a timely manner.
  • Provide a varied diet, catering for the cultural preferences of those who use our services.
  • Cater for celebrations and other events in our Home.
  • Order supplies within the catering budget and company policy guidelines, using approved suppliers in the absence of the senior cook.
  • Maintain accurate catering records in accordance with HACCP.
  • Participate in inspections by Environmental Health and/or care regulators and Local Authorities.
  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the kitchen by adhering to HACCP and COSHH guidelines.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring adherence to Health & Safety and Welfare.
  • Ability to manage the Catering Team.
