We are seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team at NHS Dorset, where you will play a key role in improving health and wellbeing in Dorset through the effective use of medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clinicians to incorporate medicines into clinical pathways in a safe and cost-effective manner.
- Manage the Dorset Formulary and ensure it remains a credible and trusted document.
- Provide technical leadership on medicines optimisation and commissioning.
- Work collaboratively with system partners to ensure medicines are aligned with health needs.
- Develop and implement digital solutions to improve medicines optimisation.
- Provide advice on commissioning and contracting processes in primary care.
- Lead on projects to improve medicines use and safety.

Requirements
- Registered with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Post-registration/graduate diploma level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience of working in a commissioning organisation.
- Knowledge of medicines optimisation and commissioning processes.
