About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Senior Buyer to join our team at Maxim Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for providing specialist procurement strategy advice to clients in the Defence, Utilities, and Infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for major projects and programmes.
  • Manage and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services.
  • Support the development of our procurement services and contribute to the growth of our team.
  • Support the delivery of business targets and contribute to the success of our clients.
  • Support bid preparation and proposal documentation.
  • Procurement delivery and commercial strategies from inception to contract award.

Requirements

  • Ability to develop procurement strategy within a project or programme context.
  • Understanding of commercial principles and modelling.
  • Delivery of strategy and/or development of documentation in a capital project or programme environment.
  • Experience of leading and/or supporting projects in a strategic procurement environment.
  • Experience of leading and/or supporting in supplier engagement activities.
  • Cross sector experience with Public/Utilities Contract Regulations or equivalent.
  • Preferably possess a degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement.
