Support Professional for Students with Special Educational Needs

We are seeking a Support Professional to join our Additional Learning Support team at Shuttleworth College, part of The Bedford College Group. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a positive impact on students' lives.
The Support Professional will work closely with the Additional Learning Support Team Leader and class teachers to implement strategies for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) accessing vocational and academic courses across the college.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification or be willing to work towards one, along with experience of providing support to young people with SEND in an educational or care setting. They will also have a working knowledge of SEND and be able to use Microsoft Office software effectively.

About the Role:
- To provide support to students with SEND accessing vocational and academic courses across the college from level one to level three.
- To work under the direction of the Additional Learning Support Team Leader and class teacher to implement strategies in line with students' individual support plans.
- To be an active member of the Additional Learning Support Team and support the success of students with SEND.
About You:
- Relevant L3 qualification or willingness to work towards.
- Experience of providing support to young people with SEND in an educational or care setting.
- Working knowledge of SEND.
- Experience of using Microsoft Office software.
