Job Overview
As an Automotive Master Craftsman at Essential Employment, you will work on a full-time temporary basis reporting to the Workshop Manager for vehicle inspection and testing. Your key responsibility will be to prioritize maintenance and repairs of various vehicles and equipment focusing on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize maintenance and repairs of various vehicles and equipment ensuring optimal performance and reducing downtime.
- Work on hackney carriage, private hire vehicles, private motor vehicles, and dual-purpose vehicles adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Manage inspection and maintenance of test equipment ensuring inventory accuracy and reliability.
Additional Responsibilities
- Conduct regular quality checks on completed work addressing sub-standard issues promptly.
- Perform planned service and safety inspections identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions.
- Execute auto electrical repairs utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of vehicle repair principles. You should also possess strong communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
