Community Paediatrician Role

The post-holder will join a team of community Paediatricians who provide community services for Salford children. This team is part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, which provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham and Salford, to save and improve lives.

The Community Paediatricians have district wide responsibility in their area of special expertise (including neurodisability, safeguarding, looked after children, epilepsy and complex disability) and cover a geographical patch of the city. The post holder will provide community paediatric care in sites across the city and contribute to the ongoing development of the neurodevelopmental pathway for Salford, including joint working with partner agencies.

The service is co-located with other children's community services in the community hub at St James's House. The post holder will deliver community paediatric clinics and child protection clinics, take part in the multidisciplinary assessment and management of children with neurodevelopmental conditions and contribute to the ongoing development of a recently established neurodevelopmental pathway.

Applicants with particular interest in epilepsy, cared for Children and children with complex physical needs are welcomed.
