**About the Role:**

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Rigs/Support engineer, where you will play a key part in supporting the electrical safety test engineers in their evaluations for our global client base.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work closely with the safety team to build test rigs and set-up facilities for testing to meet specific requirements of the applicable test standards. The role will also involve working closely with the facilities department.

  • Specify and agree testing regime and test methods for testing the EUT (Equipment Under Test), in conjunction with Test Engineers.
  • Design physical rig and testing system equipment (PLC controllers, interface boxes, heating cabinets, switch actuators, etc.) including CAD drawings.
  • Build rigs and testing system equipment.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical formal qualifications
  • Practical hands-on workshop skills (Fitting, turning, milling, welding, etc)
  • Use of CAD software
  • Good IT Skills, experience with Excel, Word and data retention systems.
  • Experience of working in accordance with a Quality Management System
  • Ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
