Electrical and Electronic Engineering Trainer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical and Electronic Engineering Trainer to join our team at First Military Recruitment. As a Controls Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering technical and equipment training modules to trainees in line with the Course Documentation and as directed by the Department Training Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- To design and deliver training programs that meet the needs of our clients and their trainees.
- To maintain personal CPD portfolio in respect of new technologies and equipment, and new training delivery methodologies.
- To ensure that lesson plans and training sessions are developed in accordance with the approved training documentation.
- To review course content to ensure it is current and evolves to support equipment advances and technologies using most appropriate training aids.
- To assess trainees to include: Creation of written examination and progress test papers.
- To create practical assessment/examination scenario and continuous assessments.
- To mark examination papers, set and mark course and homework, invigilate examination and assessments.
- To provide coaching and mentoring of trainees to best support their learning experience.
- To ensure trainee development through monitoring, feedback appraisal, ensuring all supporting documentation is maintained and that any special student developmental needs or training delays are raised with the Department Training Manager.
- To deliver remedial training and revision as necessary.
- To trainee administration including course reports and student training records.
- To be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
- To ensure that DCTT EMTC Standing Orders, and Quality Management System (QMS) procedures are understood and implemented in the course of carrying out any work tasks.
- To ensure Company security, health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
Requirements:
- Consolidated experience (within last 5 years), or directly employed in Marine electrical and electronic engineering principles in the maritime environment.
- Previous knowledge in the application of Electronic Controls techniques & engineering principles and served a recognised apprenticeship or a relevant alternative period of training and to have obtained a relevant Level 3 National Qualification.
- Experience utilising Microsoft Office suite of facilities and to be computer literate.
- Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of Level 3 in relevant subject matter.
