Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at TQR Consultancy Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and enhancing manufacturing processes to drive quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement new manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Optimize existing manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize output.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement new processes and resolve production issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest manufacturing technologies and trends to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Assist in the identification, specification, and purchase of required capital equipment to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and services.
Essential Qualifications, Knowledge, and Candidate Attributes:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline.
  • Experience in production/process/manufacturing engineering gained from within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles, including statistical process control (SPC) and quality control methods.
  • Experience with process design, optimization, and troubleshooting, including the use of 8D and six sigma methodology for problem-solving.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven track record of running Design of Experiments for process improvement and reduction in internal failure costs.
  • Minimum of a six-sigma green belt.
Desired Qualification:
  • Six-sigma black belt.
