Housekeeper Role

Location: Residential Setting

Line Managed by: Manager & Assistant Manager

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Rate of Pay: £11.84 per hour


Job Purpose

To be part of a team providing a comprehensive residential service to children and young people, ensuring their physical, social, and emotional care and development.

You will provide a safe and clean environment, working in collaboration with Residential Staff, by:


Cleaning

• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Centre, including the kitchen at all times.

• Liaising with management and staff in relation to daily chores requiring completion.

• Ensuring any hazardous materials are locked away when not in use.

• Ensuring all toilet facilities are cleaned to a high standard, with adequate soap, toilet rolls, and hand towels.

• Reporting any maintenance issues to your line manager in a timely manner.

• Conducting deep cleans in the building as required or requested by your line manager.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a culinary role.

• Good communication with colleagues and young people.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Flexible approach to work.

• Good organisational skills.

• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements surrounding food preparation and cooking.

• Food hygiene knowledge.

Other Requirements

• Safeguarding young people.

• Working in accordance with the company's vision and aims.

• Complying with Health and Safety requirements and company policies.

• Reporting any unsafe practices and conditions.

• Undertaking other duties as reasonably allocated.

• Complying with Health and Safety and Equal Opportunities requirements.

• Following reasonable management instructions.
