About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Structures team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exciting projects and contributing to the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to create innovative structural designs and analyze building structures
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects across their lifecycles, from inception to hand-over and beyond
  • Develop and deliver detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and design guidance notes using 3D software packages
  • Prepare high-quality written reports for internal and external audiences
  • Liaise with architects, clients, and the wider design team to create efficient and integrated structural solutions
  • Support junior members of the team and supervise design staff, providing learning input and verifying their design calculations, drawings, and specifications

Requirements

  • Relevant civil or structural engineering degree
  • Chartered status or working towards becoming a chartered structural engineer
  • Excellent understanding of the CDM Regulations and designer's responsibilities
  • Experience of working with British Standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional planning, organizational, and time management skills
