Procurement Specialist

Verto People is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to contribute to the overall strategy for purchasing, supplier management, and supply chain development. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in the continuous improvement of our materials and purchasing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure optimal pricing and terms.
  • Monitor vendor performance issues and implement corrective action management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Prepare daily and monthly procurement reports to inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure material availability for maximum manufacturing output and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in buying/purchasing within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as INFOR ERPLN/SAP or similar inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive cost-effective solutions.

Package: Up to £43,000, 24 days plus bank holidays, pension, company bonus, and more.
