Smile Education is a leading provider of educational services, seeking a highly skilled Child Language Development Professional to join its team at a purpose-built academy in Rugby, Warwickshire.

About the Academy

This state-of-the-art school supports children aged 7–19 with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our academy features a range of facilities, including sensory rooms, therapy spaces, soft playrooms, recording studios, photography suites, and cafés.

The Role

We are looking for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to deliver specialized child-centered speech and language therapy to students aged 7-19 with autism and complex communication needs.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver individualized therapy sessions to students
  2. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support student development
  3. Contribute to the academy's ethos of fostering lifelong learning and preparing students for adult life

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, including a special school allowance.

Requirements
  • A recognized professional Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification
  • Registration with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Proven experience supporting children with autism and severe speech, language, and communication needs
  • Knowledge of statutory legislation related to health, safety, and child protection
