Toolmaker Specialist

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker to join our Tooling & Pressed Parts department at Jaguar Land Rover. As a Toolmaker, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative Die maintenance on our press tooling, as well as die repair and engineering changes. You will work closely with other expert technicians and leaders in skilled roles to ensure our production lines run smoothly and meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
• Supporting and driving performance on all press and blanking lines that include dies.
• Working independently and as part of a team to address die repair and reconditioning tasks.
• Engineering changes and die modifications.
• Problem solutions and root-cause analysis for reliability and quality standards.
• Planning your own manufacturing methods/operations and workflow to ensure the finished part is to specification.

Requirements

• Indentured / modern apprenticeship or minimum level 3 qualification with relative experience in toolmaking.
• Previous experience in a press tool production or maintenance setting.
• Demonstrates strong teamwork skills and a positive mindset.
• Flexibility to work shifts and weekends.
