At Framestore, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Visual Effects Team Lead to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual effects compositing and experience leading teams in fast-paced environments.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. As a Visual Effects Team Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality output, mentoring junior artists, and maintaining open communication channels with production and other teams.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Nuke, stereo compositing, and colour space principles. A strong understanding of the overall VFX pipeline and previous experience leading or mentoring teams is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Visual Effects Supervisors and CG Supervisors to evaluate creative and technical approaches to assigned shots
  • Provide direction to the team with input from VFX Supervisors to ensure accurate shot execution
  • Train and mentor junior artists in best practices and company standards
  • Ensure seamless integration of 2D, 3D, and live-action elements to high-end TV/film standard
  • Maintain regular communication with Production and the team regarding schedules and deadlines
  • Manage workload, time management, and feedback actions required by Supervisors
Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • An excellent working knowledge of Nuke and stereo compositing
  • Experience in similar positions within episodic or film VFX
  • A strong eye for detail, composition, colour, and lighting
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to multitask, prioritise, and problem solve
