About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Global Compliance. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Development: Develop and implement standard operating procedures, due diligence forms, and requirements for various types of deals, ensuring consistency across all TerraPay group companies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all new customers and partners comply with regulatory standards and TerraPay's internal policies from the outset.
  • Risk Mitigation and Management: Oversee the Due Diligence function to mitigate AML/CTF risks associated with client and partner relationships.
  • Enhancing Internal Controls: Continuously refine and strengthen internal controls for customer identification, verification procedures, sanctions screening, and anti-money laundering checks, working closely with stakeholders and utilizing external tools to drive efficiency.
  • Training and Guidance: Develop the global Due Diligence function to ensure they remain up-to-date with current developments and product/service offerings, maintaining a high standard of expertise within the team.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay current with regulatory developments, maintaining a strong working knowledge of AML/CTF regulations in all applicable jurisdictions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Business Development teams in all regions for prioritization, pipeline management, and assessing new deals, fund flows, and client types.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in AML/Compliance roles, preferably with experience performing due diligence for correspondent banking relationships and large corporate clients. Previous experience as an MLRO is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of global AML and due diligence standards.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business, law, or a related field. A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure, proficient in the use of compliance software and tools.
