About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Gap Healthcare. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with emotional, behavioral, and learning difficulties in Lincoln.

Key Responsibilities
  • Form positive relationships with service users and provide a safe and supportive environment.
  • Support service users to gain self-control by rewarding positive behaviors and challenging unacceptable behavior.
  • Ensure each care plan is followed and amended as required to reflect changing needs.
  • Assist service users with practical matters such as accessing the community, independence skills development, cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Support service users to identify and attend social and leisure activities.
  • Provide a positive role model, offering advice, guidance, and assistance where appropriate.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three months' experience working in a similar environment.
  • Thorough understanding of autism and learning disabilities.
  • Caring personality and nature.
  • Positive attitude and passion to help others.
  • Basic IT and computer skills.
  • A commutable distance from Lincoln.
