Network Engineer Job Description

Experis UK is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Knutsford. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mid to large-scale network solutions, working with designers, project service architects, and architecture, governance & standards teams to ensure efficient delivery of projects in the Core Networks area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement network solutions that meet the current network architecture and infrastructure strategy documentation
  • Work with designers, project service architects, and architecture, governance & standards teams to ensure efficient delivery of projects
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to achieve project objectives
  • Timely update and escalate issues to the right stakeholders
  • Accurate estimation of workload and timelines for delivery
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in designing mid to large-scale network solutions
  • Capable of bringing together expert knowledge from across the organization and consolidating into a cohesive end-to-end solution
  • Experience in participating in virtual teams in a complex network environment
  • In-depth knowledge of routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
  • Experience in software-defined network implementation
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco products, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Nexus platforms
  • Preferred certifications: Cisco - CCIE/CCNP (R&S/security), FortiGate - FCNS, F5 - CTS-LTM, CTS-GTM
