Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Medicine Specialist to join our dynamic team at Princess Royal University Hospital.

The successful candidate will work closely with our existing team of Acute Medicine Consultants to provide high-quality care for patients under the Acute Medicine service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical supervision of junior medical staff as a shared responsibility with other consultant colleagues.
  • Together with the other Acute Medicine Consultants, to provide a service for Acute Medicine.
  • Shared responsibility with the other Acute Medicine and contributing GIM Consultants for providing 24 hour, 7 day a week cover for AM on a rota basis.
Requirements
  • Acute Medical experience
  • Experience in day-to-day organisation of General Medicine on wards services in a busy Teaching Hospital
  • Familiar with current structure of UK National Health Service.
  • Thorough understanding of principles of medical audit.
  • Experience of clinical research.
  • Experience of undergraduate and post-graduate teaching.
