About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Instructor to join our team at Boeing Defence UK. As a Flight Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to military customer aircrew on the Apache AH64-E helicopter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct instructional sorties on the AH64-E Longbow Crew Trainer (LCT) including pre-sortie briefings, post-sortie debriefings, and report writing.
  • Utilize other Part Task Trainers (PTTs) to deliver training as required.
  • Gain and maintain Instrument Rating Examiner (IRE) status.
  • Gain and maintain proficiency in the LCT and associated systems.
  • Deliver classroom-based aircraft technical training.
  • Conduct reviews and assist in the development of courseware.
  • Maintain a high level of proficiency in instructional methods and knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • Understand the basic concepts of military manuals, standards, engineering data, and related documentation.
  • Develop solutions in collaboration with other team members and implement endorsed changes as directed.
  • Pursue continuous process improvements.
  • Demonstrate and champion the Boeing Values.
  • Collaborate, be accountable, and place the customer first.
  • Demonstrate the Boeing Behaviours.

Requirements

  • Qualified Helicopter Instructor (QHI) or Qualified Service Pilot experience.
  • Front-line recent Apache experience is desirable, but applications from other Qualified Service Pilots with or without recent instructional or synthetic training experience are welcome.
  • General instructor experience in academic and theoretical topics is preferred.
  • Experience of synthetic training is beneficial.
