Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Buyer with construction experience to join a well-established contractor in Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure materials for the best possible price
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Analyse current supply chain price agreements and obtain competitive prices
  • Compare suppliers' quotes and analyse prices against tender allowances
  • Research product information and alternative products
  • Assist the accounts department to resolve/avoid invoice queries
  • Measure quantities of materials if required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role with construction experience and knowledge
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel & Outlook
  • Construction-related qualification preferred but not essential
