Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver reliable management accounting services to the business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Support internal and external accounting and reporting requirements, maintaining high standards and adhering to reporting timescales.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Director/Controller to provide divisional management information, aligning with Group and pillar management requirements.
  • Contribute to bi-weekly cash flow forecasts and support the Financial Controller in various tasks, including month-end reporting, journal preparation, and contract accounting.
  • Ensure accurate costing, labour allocations, and overhead reporting, as well as correct IT set-up for new projects and employees.
  • Provide budgeting and re-forecasting support, and assist with tenders and business planning as needed.
  • Participate in the development of ERP/IT systems and document support processes and procedures.
  • Ensure full VAT and CIS compliance, escalating issues as required.

Requirements

  • Interest in and experience in commercial/project accounting and management reporting.
  • Ability to work across disciplines, including commercial, construction, and Group Finance.
  • Finalist or Newly Qualified (ACCA, CIMA) with accurate and numerate skills, highly computer literate, and excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable: experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV platforms, knowledge of JET reporting, relevant industry or PE experience, and experience in change management.
