Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Salaried General Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Primary Care Management Solutions Ltd.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to our patients, providing services commensurate with the APMS contract, and adhering to local and national guidance on prescribing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective medical care to the entitled population
  • Provide services in accordance with the APMS contract
  • Prescribe medication in accordance with local and national guidelines
  • Manage long-term conditions effectively
  • Process administrative tasks in a timely manner, including referrals and repeat prescription requests
  • Participate in telephone triage and duty doctor roles on a rotational basis
  • Maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with good practice, policy, and guidance
  • Work collaboratively with the team to manage the workload
  • Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
  • Contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives
  • Accept delegated responsibility for specific areas or the QOF
  • Attend and contribute to practice meetings as required
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the practice, including clinical governance, training, financial management, and HR
  • Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
  • Prepare and complete the revalidation process
  • Commit to self-learning and promote an ethos of continuing professional development
  • Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
  • Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure
  • Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies
  • Encourage collaborative working and promote a culture of continuous improvement

Secondary Responsibilities

In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Salaried General Practitioner may be requested to participate in practice audits, local initiatives to enhance service delivery, and the completion and review of significant and near-miss events.
