Senior Legal Counsel Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team at a global charity. As a key member of the team, you will provide expert legal advice and support to the organisation, working closely with the General Counsel and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management: Provide expert advice on a wide range of complex agreements, including commercial contracts, supplier terms, collaboration agreements, and memoranda of understanding.
  • Legal Advice: Identify, analyse, and advise on legal, compliance, and regulatory issues, including charity law compliance, data protection and privacy, employment, anti-bribery and corruption, commercial contracts, intellectual property licensing, brand management and protection, and competition law.
  • Operational Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to improve operational working practices and systems, working closely with the General Counsel and other key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Stay up to date with external developments relevant to the organisation and contribute to the dissemination of knowledge within the group.
Requirements:
  • Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales or equivalent.
  • 4+ years PQE.
  • Ideal candidate will have in-house legal experience.
  • Strong commercial contracting experience is essential, including confidence in drafting, advising on, and negotiating complex contracts.
