Clinical Specialist in Occupational Therapy Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist in Occupational Therapy to join our team at Torbay Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and learning disability, with experience in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services.

About the Role:

The Clinical Specialist in Occupational Therapy will be responsible for assessing and treating clients with severe/complex mental health needs, using occupationally focused evidence-based assessment and skills to provide therapeutic interventions. They will also lead a small team of occupational therapists, providing clinical guidance and support to ensure effective planning and delivery of occupational therapy services.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and treat clients with severe/complex mental health needs.
  2. Lead a team of occupational therapists to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services.
  3. Provide clinical guidance and support to junior members of the team.
  4. Contribute to the development of high-quality occupational therapy services.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Experience of working in mental health and learning disability settings.
  • Leadership and management skills.

Salary and Benefits:

£38,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience.
