About the Role
Talent Drive | B Corp™ is excited to announce a partnership with a globally renowned retail brand seeking a Procurement Category Buyer to join their growing team to focus on Indirect and Tech categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute commercial and sourcing strategies for assigned categories or subcategories.
- Collaborate with Procurement Managers to develop complex commercial strategies and provide analytical and research support.
- Conduct sourcing activities such as supplier appraisal and selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Manage key suppliers, ensuring effective partner relationships and successful contract transitions.
- Deliver commercial projects and adhere to procurement and supplier management policies.
Requirements
- Experienced procurement professional with a strong understanding of procurement principles and techniques.
- Deep knowledge of specific categories or subcategories, with a good awareness of external supply markets, emerging trends, and potential risks.
- Expertise in negotiating with third parties and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and ability to build successful relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience of negotiating with 3rd parties, with a basic legal knowledge and some experience of contract negotiation.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary: £45,000-£55,000.
