Senior Design Manager

Velocity Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Manager to join a leading main contractor in Norwich. This is an exciting opportunity to work on construction projects valued between GBP5m- GBP100m with an annual turnover of over GBP1bn and a team of over 2000 employees nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage proposals and negotiate project-specific designer agreements, ensuring scope of works and design management plans are agreed and understood by all parties.
  • Review project design, mitigating Health & Safety issues and ensuring compliance with design, procurement, and construction requirements.
  • Produce and manage realistic design programmes and information required schedules, satisfying design, procurement, and construction needs.
  • Provide input into design team Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) and support the implementation of Continuous Improvement programmes and innovation.
Requirements
  • Established Senior Design Manager with experience working for main contractors.
  • Ability to drive and travel to sites.
  • Previous experience managing junior staff and a track record of fast progression.
