Lead Nurse Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as an Associate Lead Nurse Mental Health. This is an exciting opportunity to work within Merseycare NHS trust walk-in centres, based at Smithdown children's walk-in centre.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment, treatment, and discharge of patients requiring same-day urgent care treatment.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care.
- Develop and maintain clinical skills to include the assessment, care, and treatment of conditions such as minor infections and rashes, fractures and lacerations, emergency contraception, stomach upsets, superficial cuts and bruises, minor burns, and strains.
- Be flexible to work across our other adult walk-in centres, where appropriate.
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration. RSCN for Smithdown Children's WIC.
- Mentorship qualification or commitment to undertake training.
- Experience of working at Band 5 level.
- Evidence in managing patient care.
- Commitment to professional development.
- Experience of working in a relevant role e.g. Walk in Centre, Primary Care, or A/E.
- Demonstrates commitment to academic professional development.
- Demonstrates commitment to clinical supervision.
- Understanding of the Nurse Practitioner role including clinical autonomy, accountability, and responsibility in view of NMC guidelines.
- Demonstrate ability to identify own training and development needs.
- Willing to maintain motivation and focus in the development of new primary care initiatives.
- Demonstrates flexibility to work across all Walk-in Centres and all shift patterns supporting a positive approach to team working.
- Demonstrates understanding of current issues affecting community health services.
