Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced chef to lead our Premier Service Catering Operation. As Head Chef, you'll oversee the delivery of high-quality food across our network, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain Food Safety Standards by collaborating with governing bodies as necessary
  • Support recruitment, manage, and train a team of chefs to deliver high standards of food safety, product quality, and customer experience
  • Design and create on-board menus on a quarterly basis, showcasing Welsh cuisine and identity
  • Manage stock and purchases within budgetary constraints, identifying opportunities to grow sales and margins
  • Act as On-Call Manager on a rota basis

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a chef in a commercial environment, with a strong understanding of quality and cost management
  • Experience in leading, training, and coaching a team
  • HACCP knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of working in a customer-focused environment
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and communication skills

Welsh Language Skills

While not essential, the ability to speak and write Welsh is a valuable asset. We support and promote the use of the Welsh language, offering opportunities for employees to develop and improve their skills.
