Job Title: Precision Engineer

At Gibbs Gears Precision Engineers Limited, we are seeking a skilled Precision Engineer to join our team. As a Precision Engineer, you will be responsible for operating our XYZ Proturn semi-CNC lathe to produce high-quality aerospace and advanced engineering components.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate centre lathes according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Choose the appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for each machining task.
Machine Maintenance: Quality Control: Troubleshooting: Monitor machine operations and resolve issues during the machining process.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to meet deadlines and improve processes.
Accurately document machining processes and maintain records of work completed.

Requirements:

Experience as a Centre Lathe Operator in a manufacturing or machining environment.
Deep knowledge of metalworking principles, cutting tools, and machining techniques.
Strong teamwork skills and mechanical aptitude.
