About the Role

As a Shift Maintenance Specialist at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS, you will play a crucial role in driving line performance and ensuring the reliability of our manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for performing corrective and preventative maintenance, as well as proactive line improvements, to maximize our production efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform regular maintenance tasks, including routine checks and repairs, to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  2. Conduct root cause analyses to identify and resolve issues affecting production lines and equipment.
  3. Collaborate with the maintenance planning team to prioritize projects and initiatives that improve production efficiency and reduce downtime.
  4. Work closely with operators to provide coaching and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  5. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, and participate in site-wide initiatives to promote a culture of safety and excellence.

Requirements

  • Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies and equipment, including PLC and HMI programming.
  • Experience with SAP maintenance program and ability to use it to log breakdown data and book parts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to the success of the team.
