Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Management Specialist to join our PMO team at BAE Systems. As a Portfolio Support Lead, you will be responsible for providing high-quality project management and control processes across a large portfolio of projects, supporting programme and project managers in the application and compliance of these processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support programme and project managers in the application and compliance of project management and control processes.
  • Provide assurance activities across projects within the portfolio, in line with requirements.
  • Support the Portfolio and Project Finance teams to ensure programme/project managers are reporting on the latest finance position – EACs and ETCs, and project finances are maintained.
  • Support central resourcing plans and associated processes, e.g. invoice/order management.
  • Support risk, assumption, issue, and opportunity management at programme/portfolio level, ensuring common risks are managed at portfolio/project level.

Requirements:

  • Practised Project Management & Control/PMO professional with experience of operating in a highly governed PMO and of providing assurance.
  • Broad experience of working on complex portfolios.
  • Knowledgeable understanding of risk, issue, and dependency management at project and portfolio level.
  • Experienced in reviewing and challenging complex project schedules.
  • Experienced at Project Online & PowerBi.
