About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our Informatics and Data Services team at Public Health Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets, generating reports, and providing training and support to staff using various IT systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Produce and develop routine monitoring reports to manage and quality assure services provided by Public Health Wales.
  • Provide training and support to staff on the use of IT systems to ensure consistent data entry and data quality.
  • Analyze and provide complex reports and statistical outputs.
  • Assist with the design and specification of new or changed services or assist systems developers to do so.
  • Support the Trust with research initiatives with the Informatics team.

Requirements

  • Degree level education or equivalent in an appropriate subject.
  • Experience of generating reports from the analysis of raw data, training and support of others, and administrative experience.
  • High degree of computer literacy, use of spreadsheets and databases, and ability to learn new IT skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of high-quality information and confidentiality issues.
